What is now Gold Leaf Custom Wall Design began over sixteen years ago in Marin County, California. Back then we were known as Fleur de Lys Decorative Painting. Marin County is one of the most design-competitive markets in the country. Due to the awesome talents of Julie Dexter and her remarkable ability to "out-design" competitors with innovative and flamboyant wall surface creations, her company became one of the most sought-after sources for wall design north of San Francisco's Golden Gate.

In late 2000, Julie moved the business to Colorado in order to accommodate her husband's desire to return to his roots near Colorado Springs. The company was re-named Gold Leaf Custom Wall Design.

Based on the impetus established in Northern California, Gold Leaf became nearly an instant sensation on Colorado's Front Range taking the high-end interior market by storm. It didn't take long for private clients, builders, designers and decorators to seek out Julie's cutting-edge art and bring it into the elegant homes and commercial spaces from the Broadmoor to Denver; From Cheyenne Mountain to Pueblo; From Kissing Camels to Fountain; From Black Forest to Granby and all points between.

Julie established the only Wall Design Showroom that exists on Colorado's Front Range and, in 2008, received the Best of Springs award for Wall Design awarded by the Colorado Springs Gazette. The names of private clients, builders, designers and decorators that have availed themselves of Julie's design talents reads like a veritable "who's who" list.

Now in her second Colorado Springs showroom located in the 12,500 square foot Arlun Design Center, Julie meets with clients from all over Colorado in order to bring stunning, spacious beauty onto the surfaces that enclose us and provide us with shelter and warmth, protection and privacy.
